Lucy is the pet of the week and a greeter at the Howard Knight store here in Lexington, Kentucky. Last month, Lucy gave us (my son - law and I ) a warm welcome. Howard Knight is a small independently owned store. If I have a choice of where I shop, I always choose a local store over chain. Personal attention makes a difference. Look at Lucy's precious face! She enjoys having her belly rubbed.

Interesting piece of trivia... this cash register was once owned by Wallace G. Wilkerson .
Governor Wilkerson served as the fifty seventh governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky
from 1987 - 1991. The owner/manger said he purchased this register at an auction.
He has an interesting piece of history.
