This pillow case has been stitched together will  fabric scraps.   I love it. This little pillow was from my mother.  Life certainly is mix of so many experiences.  Stitched together will love... I think it is beautiful.

Birthdays

Last Monday, friends gathered together to celebrate a friend's milestone  birthday. The table setting was beautiful in its simplicity. I love the tablecloth, red plates, party glasses,  birthday candles and the napkins. I LOVE celebrating birthdays. I am eager to celebrate  so many upcoming birthdays. 

Today, our son-in-law is celebrating his birthday. We are looking forward to celebrating his birthday real soon. 🎂 2.22.22.

Piper


 This week's pet is Piper a Border Collie.  What are the characteristics of this breed?  They are highly intelligent, extremely energetic, acrobatic and athletic. I met Piper on a one of my weekly walks. 

Piper  is twelve weeks old.   She is such a cutie. 🐶

Thrifty Thursday

Ae you shopping for furniture? Maybe you are looking for a  chair or a table. Will you shop at one of the many President Furniture Sales this weekend?  Will you investigate pieces at a local consignment stores? What about estate sales? Do people still use Craig List?

I wonder, what happens to furniture that is used for displays?  This grouping is on display at a restaurant/bookstore.

Sweet ending ...

 


After tonight's dinner, we enjoyed a sweet dessert. Dessert is often a perfect ending for a meal. For a few moments, we are able to push aside the cares and concerns of the day. 

For a few moments we are able to linger over a meal, laugh, and listen to music. We need a moment away for the troubles. Troubles have not taken a recess ... they are still there. 

We know God  is good and help is a whisper and prayer away.

Why art?

Walking through the hallways of  hospital have you ever wondered why art is always on display? Last week, I had a test at a local hospital. Enjoying art in the waiting room helped me focus on other things rather than my upcoming test.

Tasty Tuesday ... Charcuterie Board

 Charcuterie is a French term for a branch of cooking devoted  to prepared meat products such as bacon, ham, sausage... No matter the food that is included they should be artfully displayed. 

Last year, members at our local  chapter of  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc were treated to a special virtual demonstration of preparing a Charcuterie Board.
