God speak to us

How does God speaks to us?
Reading God's Word is how we are able to hear God speak to us.
Looking at this stained class window reminds me of how God spoke to Moses.
When you read the book of Exodus you will discover how Moses listened and obeyed God.
God still speaks...

Pets of the week, Bates and Fergie

Bates and Fergie are the pets of the week. I met these lovely Welsh Corgis this past Monday. The owner was kind and allowed me to take their pictures. He shared that the puppies are startled by new experiences.  For example, my camera was something new. He also shared that during Monday morning's garbage pick up, the puppies were startled by the noise of the machinery

He also reminded me that the Corgis are a favorite of Queen Elizabeth II of England. Of course that prompted me to do a bit a research on the Royal Family of UK.
When you browse the official website of the British Monarchy you will discover that Queen Elizabeth has been animal lover since childhood.  Check it out here: British Monarchy According to one on line source, Queen Elizabeth currently has two Corgis.

Autumn

Each season of the year displays a unique beauty.  I wait in silent anticipation to see the leaves begin to flaunt their fall colors. Last weekend, I selected white pumpkins to decorate our entry way. The joys of the this season.

Dining Alone...

Instead of having a fast food meal, I decided to prepare a simple dish.  My recent issue of Cooking Light was the perfect resource. With a few simple ingredients, I assembled a lovely dinner.
Hmmm... I wonder what Jerry is eating in NY.

One missing ingredient... basil...
Recipe: Tomato Ravioli

Monday Musings, prayer

Standing in the need of prayer
It’s me, it’s me, it’s me, O Lord
Standing in the need of prayer
It’s not my brother or my sister
But it's me O Lord
Standing in the need of prayer….
It’s me, it’s me, it’s me, O Lord

This traditional African American hymn was a childhood favorite.
Today, I adore John P.Kee's newer version of this hymn.  Listening to this hymn inspires me to pray.  Pray more...

Are you familiar with the ministry of John P. Kee?  If not, I suggest you listen to some of his songs available on Y tube.  This fall he will  receive a special honor.

“On Thursday, October 17 the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame 2013 Induction Ceremony will be held at the historic GEM Theatre in Kannapolis, North Carolina at 7:15.  One of this year’s inductees will be John P. Kee Gospel Recording Artist."
