Critics are the unpaid guardians of your soul

Another snow day... no school... I watched the Health Care Summit all day long.... In between laundry, dusting, vacuuming...I was able to hear the full discussion....pause the t.v. ...load clothes in the washing machine....I take lunch... when they take lunch.... put clothes in dryer...if you listen to your another point of view you will learn...Dr. Coburn a measured and intelligent voice in the room. ... I could not listen to anything else...it was sooooo gooood. CBO figures, polls, taxes, mandates, insurance reform, reducing the costs, and increasing the number of people covered...
I do not know where this quote is from, but it is one of my favorite..."critics are the unpaid guardians of your soul,"

I wish you were like Hooch

Jackson loves to go the Coldstream Dog Park. This is where we went this morning. He loves to roll around in the grass. If no grass is available, he loves to roll in the snow. Although Jackson is now 8 years old, he still is a "bit" wild. Walking with him on a leash is nearly impossible. In addition, Jackson jumps on guests, sleeps on the couch, and will even jump on a bed. Jackson needs to go the the Hooch school of dog obedience. Hooch (Black Lab) lives in Kansas. Hooch puts the "O" in obedience. Years ago, Jackson graduated from Puppy Obedience School. Giving him treats, he knows how to sit, stay, and shake. But, really this is not enough. My hope, as he gets older he will slow down and not pull me around on the lease. My knees simply cannot take the pressure. Jackson, I wish you were like Hooch.

Winter

If we had no winter,
the spring would not be so pleasant:
if we did not sometimes taste adversity, prosperity would not
be so welcome.

Snowman

School was not is session today...a snow day. Oh... sleeping late...it was a delicious day. I went outside once, to take pictures of snowmen. According to Wikipedia, "a snowman is an anthropomorphic snow sculpture of a human. ---Because a snowman is short-lived, it is a good example of popular installation art." To neighborhood children...building a snowman it is just plain fun.
Snowman who lives next door. Look at his heart!

Peyton Manning was at school today

Today I saw Peyton Manning in the hallway at school. Yes, it really was Peyton. For a few minutes, we talked. Okay, so this Peyton is a high school student. When I first met Peyton, I thought he was making up a name... yeah right, your name is Peyton Manning. Some students will make up very clever made up names...This was no joke.

We talked Super Bowl... This Peyton Manning is a New Orleans Saint fan.
