Transformation

A shimmering piece of fabric is on a remnant table. It is one of many piece goods that are piled high on a “bargain” table.  Customers browse the items and envision how they might use the different pieces.  In their minds, they are creating dresses, window treatments, bags, and pillows.

My friend, Vanessa, is a genius in discovering unique ways to use scraps.  As a child, Vanessa's mother was instrumental in teaching her how to sew.  Her mother was also key in demonstrating how  to use scraps of materials to create quilts.

In this particular piece, she transformed a remnant into an evening gown.

This is an example of what Albert Einstein said, “ Creativity is intelligence having fun."
She is the Chair of Retailing and Tourism  Management
at a local university.
On this day, she was helping a friend from our church create a window display
using fabric she discovered on a bargain table.
How does God use the scraps of our lives to bring glory to Him?
