The Power of Family Stories

What is the best part of family reunions? Sharing stories. It is inspiring when I hear how others face struggles and celebrate success. At reunions, we have the opportunity to listen to these stories.

Jonathan Gottschall writes in "Why Storytelling is the Ultimate Weapon, "People are moved by emotion. The best way to connect to other people to our agenda begins with, "Once upon a time..."
Families have so many stories to tell. Asking a question can open the door to hear wonderful story.
Married for over thirty years, they have a sweet story.
In Gottschall's book he documents that "science backs up the long-held belief that story is the most powerful means of communicating a message."
Jesus used stories to illustrate spiritual truths. Reading the Bible, we become connected to the ultimate Love Story.  Before science would document the truth... Jesus spoke the truth...
Married for nearly 55 years, they inspire me.

Married in June... the newlyweds
