Family lessons

Each year members of the Carter family get together for our annual family reunion. The annual tradition began in 1955.  We always meet on Labor Weekend. This gathering provides an opportuity to hear old stories and make new memories.

This year's event was in Chicago, IL
Alex Haley had it perfect when he said, "When you start talking about family, about lineage, and ancestry, you are talking about every person on earth." 
Married since 1947, they are willing to share lesson on marriage.  
One of their lessons, forgiveness is essential to a long marriage.
