Monday Musings ...quincentenary

The Bible is available
in over 1, 300 languages.
Wycliffe Bible Translators believe
everyone needs the Bible in
their own language.
This Bible is in Chinese on the left side
and English on the right.
This year marks the year long celebration of the quincentenary when Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of a church in Wittenberg, Germany on October 31, 1517. The issue that may be considered Luther's greatest contribution to Christian Theology is Sola Scriptura. This theological doctrine hold that the Christian scriptures are the supreme authority in all matters of doctrine and practice.

Here is one important quote, "Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone, and good works result from our faith, they are not added to it as the grounds for our right standing in the Lord's eyes. Ephesians 2:8 - 10.  sums it up this way.
