My friend… Amy
Pioneer, math professor, and friend
Dr. Amy King was a
wonderful combination of faith, intellect, professionalism and generosity. In a
recent issue of the Herald Leader, Dr. King was described as a pioneering Eastern
Kentucky University math professor.
She leaves an
impressive legacy. An EKU Math Lab was
named in her honor. She also established several charitable annuities at EKU
for students who were struggling financially; She was also recognized for
classroom excellence. Many of her honors were listed in the same Herald Leader
article.
Our friendship began and grew as the result of our service
in Bible Study Fellowship. We shared a love of God’s Word. A celebration of her life will be this
weekend.
