Modesty

According to Merriam -Webster online dictionary modesty is defined as follows:
1.   1: freedom from conceit or vanity
2.   2:  Propriety in dress, speech, conduct

This is just one definition of the word. How would you describe modesty in dress? Watching a portion of the Oscars last night, I was looking for examples of beauty and modesty combined. There had to be examples of modesty.  somewhere.... Sadly, I did not see any examples.

Last night, I saw examples of “weird” behavior and dress.  When an actress prepares to give an award and all of the attention is to what the person was wearing and not to what they are saying, this may be a clue your attire is more distracting that what you are saying. Then I remember... this is Hollywood. Thank God there are examples of beauty and modesty in everyday life.
Did you watch some of the Oscars last night?
What did you think?
