Mary Oliver, the poet poses a question at the end of her poem, The Summer Day, "Tell me what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
Take a moment and listen to Mary Oliver read her poem on You Tube. Her reading lasts for less than two minutes. Indeed, poems are meant to be recited. It is glorious.
Angela, my friend, lived a wonderful and precious life. I think her life is an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Why? Her faith in God, her love of her husband, children, and granddaughter. In addition, she cherished her church family, friends, neighbors and her community.
Whether she was teaching a Bible Study, cooking, crafting, attending book discussion, traveling, hosting Mah Jongg games at her home, or praying for her family and friends... she took her commitments seriously.
Yes... she lived a wonderful and precious life. When I heard she went to be with the Lord, I found it difficult to be sad. She is with our Lord and Savior. We will miss her. Her memory is blessing. Pray God will comfort her family and friends.
So the question is, "Tell me what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
