Mary Ann Pettway and China Pettway, quilters from Gee's Bend were in Lexington at the Carnegie Center on Thursday, September 3,2009. Before their short presentation, they sang a song. To me there is nothing sweeter than the beautiful voices in harmony without any instruments. For a few minutes, we listened to a song. Then, they shared their story.
