Politics and Sight Seeing

Planning my sight seeing schedule is important. I want to make sure I make the most of my time.  Sometimes, being at the right place at the right time you get a little bonus when  you plan your trip.  George Eastman House is a National Historic Landmark, a must see on my list.
When I arrived, I was asked, "Are you here to attend the event with the Senator?"  I said, "No, what is it?"
Well to make a long story short, I was able to go attend the round table discussion with local mayors and representatives of the tourist industry.  I sat at the back of the room taking pictures without a flash.  U.S. Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand is in the middle at the front table.

The discussion and question  period focused on the economy and tourism, high speed rail travel, the and wine industry in the Finger Lakes Region. Senator Gillibrand was appointed by Gov. Patterson as the replacement for Senator Hillary Clinton.

Yours Truly

Yours Truly  is a sweet little restaurant in Beachwood, Ohio.  Operating since 1981, this small restaurant seems to cater to loyal customers.   This morning, we arrived a little before 8:00 a.m. before heading out to New York. I think, family owned restaurants seem to have more personality than chain restaurants.  Yours Truly is   unique... one of a kind... we had a great breakfast...

Wonderful service...Kelly and Drew

Arriving safely in Rochester this afternoon, Jerry will be busy with the 2010 Baja SAE Rochester World Challenge for the rest of the trip.

Traveling to Ohio

Let the travels begin, today we are in Ohio.  My travel reading... GAME CHANGE by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin  This book was not on my summer reading list... This past Monday, I was returning books to the library, then I saw several copies of this book on the 14 day book shelf   I know how the election ends, but the story behind the scenes is amazing.

Tonight's dinner..@ Mitchell's Fish Market in Chagrin Falls, Ohio

School Ends... My Summer Officially Begins

Today was the last day of the school year...it is bittersweet.  I will miss the faces of the students and the routine of each day. Now, I will focus on finishing writing projects.
I am also taking a break from teaching in the afternoon.
