My memories of Vacation Bible School are sweet. I remember songs, making crafts, tine with friends, and of course the love of Jesus was introduced.
Last week, it was a joy to attend VBS (Vacation Bible School) with my granddaughter and her family. Names, faces and places may have changed. The timeless truth of Jesus's love, songs, crafts and friends remain the same. What has changed... the creativity of the curriculum. The children were given a passport when they registered for VBS. Their first stop. Egypt. Their second stop, Jerusalem.
"VBS mixes so many great elements all together - teaching Bible truths to kids, sharing the gospel, bringing the whole church together to serve with a purpose. effectively reaching - non- churched or under-churched families all while having a blast!" Says, Barb Witt, a writer for AnswersVBS
I look forward to our church's VBS. Did you attend VBS as a child? Will you attend VBS as an adult. Here's to a great summer of VBS for communities all across our nation.
