Monday Musings ... jury duty

"Serving jury duty is a fascinating little slice of life, with its motley crew of personalities."

Nina Garcia

Visual a group of potential jury members waiting outside a courtroom on Monday morning. Today, you see an interesting  group of folks. You might see individuals who are scrolling on their phones, reading books, looking at iPads, sitting on benches, and talking on their phones. From a casual observations, I would guess the people  range in age from their twenties to sixties.

If you were to listen to some of their  conversations, you would hear  how to trust Jesus as your Savior, how to get connected to people who will help you in church, school, and the trades. It was an interesting Monday morning.

All the people waiting outside of the courtroom were eventually dismissed. The court case was dismissed.

Here are portraits of some of the former judges that served in this courtroom. These distinguished judges served our community with honor. Each potential juror has the opportunity to serve with honor as well.

Have you served on a jury? Serving is an important civic duty.
