Poetry in the pandemic

As many of us are seeking ways to safely occupy our time during the pandemic. Each of us find solace in different ways. Some enjoy music, others escape into reading and others spend time in prayer. I have renewed my love of poetry. Many poets are reflecting on life in this age of uncertainty.

Speaking of poetry..

On most days, I read poetry written by my friend, Christie.  She is a gifted poet who writes with clarity regarding  issues about life in America. She is the author of the book of poetry titled; Oh, to be in Miss Collier's Class Again!"  Those of us who are fortunate call Christie our friend are treated to her poetry on Facebook.

Speaking of poetry ...

Alice Quinn has published an anthology of poetry titled:  "Together in a Sudden Strangness: America's Poets respond to the Pandemic."  This book was scheduled to be published on June 9.  There is one poet's work that is missing from this anthology, my friend Christie.
