Do you think Book Clubs have personalities? If you are a member of a book club how would you describe your group's personality? If we look at the titles of the books that a groups selects, we might be able to discern the group's identity.
Over the past three months the AM Amazing Book Club (this is the name this particular group) has selected some varied books. We meet in the morning... thus the name of the group. 😃
At our most recent book club meeting we discussed, An American Marriage by Tayari Jones. This book offered rich topics for discussion. As part of our time together, we delved into marriage, class, income, mass incarceration, innocence, race, education, illiteracy, HBCU's, fidelity, trust, and commitment.
At the end of our time together it was evident we had not exhausted the issues address in the book.
