Pet of the week, Bennie

This week's pet is Bennie.  Bennie is a rescue dog that lives with his family in our neighborhood.  What a fortunate rescue puppy! He lives in a warm and loving family.

Children of the day ...

 I am beyond excited about this summer's Bible Study.  This evening, I joined a group of women as we began the Beth Moore study, Children of the DAY, 1 and 2 Thessalonians.

My heart is filled with anticipation … I am eager to see how God’s Word will continue to transform my life.

"For you are all children of the light and of the day;"

Kate's Kitchen in Franklin

When we travel, we choose local cafés over chain restaurants. This weekend we decided to eat at Kate’s Kitchen in Franklin. It was a good choice. Tucked away in a small shopping area, Kate’s Kitchen is a bit difficult to find. Away from the main traffic flow of the mall, this quaint restaurant is worth the search.  How would I describe the food?  Delicious food prepared with a twist of simple innovation.
Plus,  the décor was so amazing.

Our weekend visit to Mississippi...

May was Military Appreciation Month.
It was appropriate that we were able to visit the Naval Air Station in Meridian.
The Naval Air Station 's vision ~ The best and most efficient training base in the Navy.
Below is Meridian's  newly renovated Union Station.
