Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated began as a vision of nine college students on
the campus of Howard University in 1908. Since the sorority’s beginning, college
trained women continue to make a difference locally and worldwide. We tackle
important issues of health, global poverty, human rights, environmental sustainability,
literacy, and more.
Locally,
the members of Beta Gamma Omega Chapter work to make a difference through service and leadership. Today’s luncheon and fashion show focused on “20
Pearls “, high school students from local schools. Their Cotillion will be held
this November 16, 2013 at the Griffin Gate Marriott.
