Hummer is this week's pet. I met Hummer this spring at a rest stop while traveling to Asheville, North Carolina.
The American Kennel Club describes the Basset Hound as patient, low-key and charming. This breed was officially recognized in 1935. Today, the Basset Hound ranks as 41st most popular breed.
According to the AKC website, this breed is not the most active but do need regular walks to stay healthy. This breed is a great family dog, know for their extreme devotion.
