This week's pet is a black cat. Her name is Suzie. Wilma is the proud owner of Suzie.
Don't be scared.
How did black cats become associated with all sorts of legends, myths,
and superstitions? According to one on line source, black cats were not always
considered bad luck. “ In fact, in early Egyptians times, dating back as far as
3,000 BC cats, (including black ones) were the rock stars of the animal world,
held in high esteem; to kill one was considered a capital crime. It wasn’t
until the middle- ages in Europe that the black cat’s rock start status began
to go down hill as they began to become associated with so-called witches.*
Suzie has the run of the house. Whether she is perched on a cabinet or resting on a rug... pretty |
Suzie lives with Hans... a pet of the week from last year. |
