Glasses, watches, and hats were an important part of many costumes. 

Why do we love to dress up? Given the opportunity I think adults love the chance to  be creative and dress up for special parties. On Saturday, I was delighted to see the creativity of  couples and individuals at the gala.

Notice the timepieces on her costume?
The timepieces are significance to the book's plot.
