Pet of the week, Dollie

This week’s pet is Dollie from the city of Pharr in the Lone Star State of Texas. Roger and Naomi are the owners of this beautiful Cocker Spaniel. According to American Kennel  Club , "Cocker Spaniels are intelligent gentle dogs that thrive as a part of a family."  Detailed information is available at their web site Cocker Spaniels

These, "Texans" are not random individuals but friends.  How did we become friends with these Texans?  Our friends are transplanted Yankees. Roger and Naomi were living near Frankfort when we moved to Kentucky in 2004.  As newcomers to the area, Roger and Naomi were generous in sharing their time. Together, we shared meals in our homes, traveled to the Red River Gorge, had dinner at Halls on the River, and attended worship services together in Frankfort.

We were excited about having close friends in Kentucky.  Then, life circumstances changed…. Roger and Naomi changed jobs, sold their home, and moved to Texas. We love to hear how God is so faithful in their lives. Provider, faithful, healer...
Roger keeps us current regarding life on the border. He recently posted information regarding the struggles in Reyonsa www.themonitor.com
We keep in touch via email and Facebook.  Ah, technology!  We are grateful to God for this friendship.
Naomi shared this picture. She gave the title,
"She will not be denied.
Dollie  has to be close to Roger.
