Move in day at UK is quite an adventure.
On campus this morning there were hundreds of students who
were getting settled into their dorms. What
a sight … students, moms, dads,
grandparents, police officers, cars, luggage, carts, bikes, fans, shoes, more
cars, plastic bins, ids, water bottles, golf carts, dogs, tables, elevators,
resident advisors, students, hangers, laundry bags and so many lines of people.
Looking at this sight, I could remember what it was like when
we were the parents and we were moving our children into their dorms.
It was pleasant to have this experience again... in a new way...
This week we were able to be short term host for two international students from Brazil ...
I enjoy serving/breakfast.
Beautiful Brazilian students Their parents must be so proud of these intelligent, beautiful, and kind daughters. On the right of this picture is one of the new dorms. |
