 Learning curves are real. There is be a part of learning that is very uncomfortable. If we preserve, we will  learn from our mistakes and grow to become more confident.  

Online training ... can be challenging.

Blue

Blue is a Bluetick Coonhound and the pet of the week. You would not believe how long it took to take this picture! Sitting attentively, Blue is waiting for a treat. Can you guess what the treat is? 
Give up? Okay, it is a hot dog. Yay!

Training

In the case of an emergency, I need someone who is fully trained and prepared.  Training allows individuals to experience mock scenarios and be ready to respond if a disaster occurs. 

This Monday, local firefighters held special operation training to prepared for rescuing individuals who may be trapped on ice.

Grateful for their service.  

Pet of the week, Parker

Don’t you think is a perfect quote for pets?  I do. Especially for service animals, they serve.

Parker is this week’s pet. He is also a service dog. As a service dog in training, he will undergo extensive training to prepare him to be matched to an individual who needs special assistance. Some of the areas are:

·      Seizure Response
·      Hearing Alert (alert to fire alarm, crying baby, etc.)
·      Autism Service Dogs
·      Psychiatric Service Dogs (PSTD or panic attacks)
·      Mobility Service Dogs
·      Diabetic Alert Dogs

I met Parker while waiting in a line at the local  Wal Mart. This store seems to be a great place to train a dog. Parker was attentive to this trainer, on task, and obeyed commands.

Why is English so weird?

 "Why is English so weird?   Why is English Pronunciation so Difficult to Learn..professional development offered by Kristen Perry, PhD. from the University of Kentucky on June 16.  Operation Read,volunteers have access to  regular training .   My head was spinning as I left the training.  I was fearful to tip my head, I was concerned all the information would slip out.... To begin the training, she offered this letter published in the London Sunday Time (3 January, 1965)

I take it you already know

Of tough and bough and cough and dough?

Others may stumble but not you,
