Pet of the week ... a goat

Visiting in my cousin's living room, I gaze out to her backyard. What did I just see? A horse running... I have to investigate.  Yes, clearly in the distance there is  horse.

Yes, there are horses clearly running in a pasture. I have to remind myself, we are in the city limits of Louisville.  So this week's pet is a goat.

"The practice of keeping a goat in a stall with a nervous horse has been around for a long time..." Bette Gabriel

Christine Winter also noted,"that goats often serve as a strange and calming influence on horses."
Next time I visit, I need to bring carrots. Clearly the horses are accustomed to having carrots as treats.
