Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Train travel allows you to enjoy the experience of travel.
No fly overs , you have the opportunity to enjoy the view.

Surprise...I was so happy to see a red car in my driveway! Driving from Omaha to Lexington, Jara and Kenley made the trip to surprise me for Mother's Day weekend. I love car trips.

On the other hand, I know that they enjoy traveling by plane.

What about trains?  Today is National Train Day.  I hope to book a short trip for this summer.

Amtrak Car

Today is the 4th Annual National Train Day.  This year also marks the 40th Anniversary of Amtrak.  If you have time and  interest you might research a train trip this summer or fall.  For me, last year's train trip was a lovely way to travel across country.

Our rail system is decades behind the high speed rail system available in other parts of the world. 
Even so, traveling on Amtrak can be so much fun.
