Now I know the value of learning something everyday. As a child, I did not fully understand or appreciate this question my mother posed each day after school.
"Every day, be aware of learning moments, slow down when you experience one, record it in a journal, and process it with a friend. This can be a life-changing enhancing habit.
So ... what did you learn today?" Don McMinn
When I learn something, I must put it into practice. For me, it is to ask for help. It is humbling but necessary.

"Relationships. They mean everything to us. They can be the source of our greatest joy and our greatest frustrations. Building long-lasting relationships don't happen by accident but by intention. Virtually all of us intuitively know we can use help. But we don't need fluff, we need clear insights a way to tap into the love and power of God, and practice effective steps to improve our most important relationships.' This quote is from the book, "Made to Last: 8 Principles to Build Long Lasting Relationships. by Pastor Bryan L. Carter
Last month, I attended a Family Conference at a local church in our community. My husband and I attended the sessions on Marriage. After forty-plus years of marriage, we know that we still to need to grow and enrich our marriage. Developing healthy communication skills is a life-long goal. We are grateful that Pastor Carter and his wife, Stephanie Carter were an vital part of this Family Conference for our community.
I don't think healthy marriages happen by accident. We are intentional about growing in the Lord how we walk in joyful obedience to the Lord Jesus.

"Do you remember back in childhood
How we loved the first day of May?
When we hung flower-filled baskets
On door knobs, then ran away?
Do you remember how the sweetest basket
Was for the one we loved the best.
And in it went the blossoms
that were fairer than the rest?
Such a beautiful and gracious custom
Somehow lost along the way
But the memories still linger
As welcome in the May. "
