Monday Musings... fame

Fame is a bee.
It has a song -
It has a sting -
Ah, too, it has a wing.
Emily Dickinson

I wonder did Muhammad Ali ever read any poems by Emily Dickson? Reading this small poem reminds me of one Muhammad Ali's most familiar sayings ... Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

I think Muhammad Ali had a intuitive sense of how to be a promote his boxing career. His language, his good looks, and his confidence seemed to generate interest in him and his career. When I listen to his interviews as a young man, I hear a unique rhythm to his words.

He lived a remarkable life.
