Literary Luncheon

“Wendell Berry is a farmer and a Christian who challenges the Church to take the environmental issues seriously.” Source: Relevant Magazine

He is also a living legend.

Relevant magazine also describes Berry as " A great activist, writer, and thinker, Berry has written dozens of stories, poems, essays, and novels." His newest release is A Small Porch: Sabbath  Poems 2014 and 2015

Mr. Berry reading to the attendees.
Last Saturday the public was invited to attend a Literary Luncheon honoring Wendell Berry.  In 2015 he was the first living author to be inducted into the Kentucky  Writers Hall of Fame.

How appropriate that the  luncheon was held in beautiful Gratz Park. The canopy of old trees provided a perfect setting for the luncheon.
This dessert ended the farm-to-table lunch.
The menu featured Kentucky farm produce.
Delicious!
