Pet of the week, Oggie

This week’s pet of the week is Oggie. Oggie is an eleven-year-old Shih Tzu.  His nickname is sweetie boy.  According to Shelly, Oggie is talented and able to do several tricks. He is a bit of a ham.

When we played Mahjong on Wednesday, Oggie was nestled in his cozy corner. 
 He was not  disturbed by the clicking of the Mahjong tiles.

"Dream" Anniversary

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King's speech, I Have Dream . To mark the anniversary, thousands of Americas have traveled to our nation's capital. 

At today's event,  some of the most stirring moments have been the speeches and songs. One song that was a part of each event was, Lift Every Voice and Sing.

 Here is a portion of the lyrics.
