Bluegrass Farmers Market

For the past two years, I have been a regular customer at the Bluegrass Farmers Market. Each Saturday morning, I spend time shopping at the market. Last spring, I discovered Swiss chard. This spring, asparagus has become a favorite. In the past, I usually would steam asparagus. Then, a friend shared a simple recipe for roasted asparagus. Yummy!
My grocery list: asparagus, strawberries, spinach, lettuce, flowers, potatoes… I had a bonus, one of the farmers shared a Strawberry Tossed Salad recipe. I used the recipe for tonight.

Jackson

Jackson is so sweet. Well sometimes.... this morning I was having my quite time on the deck. This morning the weather was cool... the air was still and the birds were chirping. Then, Jackson start barking crazy.... Luke and Chase are walking to school. I had to remind him, "Jackson.... they are walking to school. " I hope he remembers.

Friendship

Over a month ago, I met with my prayer partners...sharing a meal...laughing... crying... praying...all at Cracker Barrel.

Fellowship..... the journey out of Egypt ... sharing lessons learned ... humility..courage.. prayer....Moses....dinner and conversation at hg's home.
Connecting with a long lost friend... Charlene called this week. I'm sure we talked for at least an hour. It has been years since we last talked. As soon as we began talking, the years simply evaporated. It was as if we had just talked last week. I thank God for her friendship.
